Two Hour Guided Snowmobile Tour

Check in at the Turquoise Lake Riding area at 1668 County Road 99, Leadville, Co. 80461

This guided tour features groomed snowmobile trails and spectacular views of 14,000 feet mountains. It’s a great  family activity with children, single riders looking for a scenic ride, or couples who want to ride together on the same snowmobile. Groomed snowmobile trails make this ride good for all levels of experience. Parents will enjoy a brief stop so children up to 70 pounds can take a turn driving a kiddie snowmobile in a snowy meadow, while other guests enjoy free-time riding in a scenic practice area.

Arrival times are 30 minutes prior to tour time so we can check folks in with small groups prior to the Tour time.

WE DO NOT PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION FROM ANY LOCATION.
USING UBER OR LYFT IS NOT A GOOD CHOICE FOR TRANSPORTATION IN OUR HIGH MOUNTAIN AREA. CELL SERVICE IS OFTEN SPOTTY AND UNRELIABLE SO YOU MIGHT NOT BE ABLE TO GET A PICKUP AFTER YOUR TOUR. CHECK OUR WEBSITE FOR LINKS TO SHUTTLE COMPANIES THAT OUR CUSTOMERS HAVE USED AND RECOMMEND.

Using Uber or Lyft is not a good choice for transportation in our high mountain area. Cell service is often spotty and unreliable so you might not be able to get a pickup after your tour. For more information on shuttle companies we recommend our customers use check out our Useful Links page.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS

White Mountain Base Camp is located at 6492 Highway 91, Leadville, Colorado 80461. From Interstate 70 take Exit 195, Copper Mountain/Leadville. Continue south on Highway 91 for 14 miles to mile marker 7. Turn left into our driveway where the 100′ high tower stands. Flags fly from the tower and on the entrance road. Check in at the bright red building.

EQUIPMENT POLICY

Helmets are mandatory and provided. We do not use full face helmets and ski helmets are not appropriate

WE DO NOT PROVIDE SUITS, BOOTS OR GOGGLES. Guests must arrive in warm and appropriate winter clothing including jackets, pants, gloves, scarves, goggles or sunglasses. Please bring a scarf, face masks or neck gators. Arrive properly dressed or you will be unable to participate.

AGE REQUIREMENTS
Children under 6 years old may not participate. Children must ride on the back of the snowmobile. The child must be able to physically hold on and follow all other instructions during the tour. No exceptions. Pregnant ladies may not participate.
LIABILITY WAIVER

A credit card is required at check-in to be used in the rare event of damage. Damage is very rare but you must sign a STANDARD LIABILITY WAIVER BEFORE PARTICIPATING IN ANY ACTIVITY. With this Waiver you will be accepting the responsibility to pay with the card for any damage and we will email a detailed invoice detailing the charges for parts and labor We accept all major credit cards.

CANCELLATION POLICY

White Mountain has a 48-hour cancellation policy: A total refund can only be given if we are notified 48 hours in advance of the tour date.

Refunds will not be given for people who do not show up on the day of the tour. If 4 people are booked and only three people come, we will not refund for the “no show person”. We understand that situations may arise when a person might be unable to attend but it is your responsibility to phone and explain the situation, even when the tour is just hours away. All reservations must be booked and paid in advance.

GRATUITIES

Payment total does not include customary guide gratuities. We appreciate and encourage gratuity but it is not required.
